Our History

Established in 1972, R W Palmer Electrical Service has been delivering reliable electrical and communications solutions to commercial clients for over 50 years. In 2005, founder Bob Palmer passed the leadership to Shane Merlino, who brought fresh energy and a forward-thinking management style to the business—while maintaining the high standards and values on which the company was built.

With a career in the Electrical & Communications industry beginning in 1991, Shane has held roles across the full spectrum of the trade—from Technician and Supervisor to Senior Project Manager, Estimator, Bid Manager, and now Managing Director. Under his leadership, R W Palmer Electrical Service is driven by a hands-on, results-focused approach, backed by a team of dedicated professionals—some with over 40 years’ industry experience.
